On this episode of Wax On we are breaking a hobby box of 2008 Upper Deck Spectrum Baseball. I finally hit my first hot box of the year; I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to happen. The base set consists of 100 cards, all of which are veterans. There are 5 colored and sequentially numbered parallel versions of these cards: Orange numbered to 399, Green numbered to 199, Red numbered to 99, Blue numbered to 25, and Gold all 1 of 1. There is a 100 card Derek Jeter Retrospectrum insert set. This set is the only non-autograph, non-memorabilia set in this product, other than the base set. There are two sequentially numbered parallel sets for the these cards; one is numbered to 99, the other is numbered to 2 and feature autographs. The memorabilia cards are plentiful in this product. There is a 100 card set of Spectrum Swatches numbered to 99, a 100 card set of Retrospectrum Swatches numbered to 99, a 65 card set of Spectrum Dual Swatches numbered to 99, a 20 card set of Three Star Swatches numbered to 75, and a 15 card set of Four Star Swatches numbered to 15. The Retrospectrum swatches come in two sequentially numbered parallel sets. one is numbered to 45, the other is numbered to 25 and features a patch instead of a swatch. All of the Spectrum Swatches come in sequentially numbered parallel versions.
